Potion Commotion

Develop a Unity game for use on Nintendo DS. The game features a witch who was brewing her potions. The brew did not go as planned and exploded sending all the potion components flying to different locations. The objective is to find all the potion components in a specific order and deliver them back to the brew pot.

This was a three-person project where I was the team lead and programmer. The project used some Unity art assets, but the rest of the project was developed by the team. The main parts of the project I performed include:

  • Basic player controls and menu system with the ability to play on Nintendo DS or PC using a controller or keyboard.
  • Bottom screen controls feature a map. The player can drag the potion icons and place them anywhere on the map to help memorize locations of different potion components.
  • Potions can only be picked up in a particular order. Furthermore, their positions are randomized every time one plays!
  • Easy replay features to help encourage many play throughs.
